Enrollment for this opens soon! If you already know you want to participate, email info@nemesis.global and we’ll add you to the early bird list.

Introducing Autonomous Strategy Lab

The world is insane, full of chaos and slop. We all need more containers to practice our methods, develop new ways of thinking, and expand our creativity. If we don’t, we’ll forget who we are, lose track of the parts of our practices that matter to us, and get lost in the big transitions all around us.

This workshop is a follow up to Autonomous Strategy (but also works great if you didn’t do that one).

Each session is a presentation that sets up a hands on strategic and/or creative challenge for you to complete. The idea is to create a space for you to push yourself and experiment. We will set up and lead each challenge, provide the guardrails, relevant resources, and prompts, and give feedback. You’ll also have a chance to connect with fellow participants.

Creative and strategic thinking is a practice, and this is a studio for that practice. This workshop is an opportunity to access new high level ways of creative thinking, update your ideation processes, work on strategy/creative outside of commercial work, experiment, and have fun doing it.

This workshop is great for…

Anyone who participated in our Autonomous Strategy workshop, and wants an opportunity to follow up on those ideas with more learning, as well as opportunities to practice and experiment

People who didn’t do Autonomous Strategy, but want a space to approach strategy and creativity from new angles

Strategists – from just starting out to more seasoned and advanced (but we’re not doing strategy fundamentals here, be forewarned)

Creatives

Strategists with a creative practice

People doing strategy for their own project or practice

This is for you if you’re looking for…

…courage to work from the core of your identity and strengths

…ways to make your work more visible or accessible (without paying through the nose for it, financially or emotionally)

…room to enhance and expand your writing practice

…time and space for more theory alongside practice

…methods for you filling your tank as much as possible between jobs

…more control over your creative outputs

…ways to make more impact through thinking out of the box

…approaches for integrating art thinking into strategic work

…non-nauseating ways to “sell” yourself better and get involved in projects that are meaningful to you

…better mindset for the negotiation between clients and practice

…ways to approach creative fulfillment rather than just chasing financial security

…clearer ways to communicate the value of what you do—especially the research and thinking that happens before deliverables

How it works:

In each session, we’ll give an introductory presentation to a theme and then set up a challenge around it. These will imic real life strategy questions and processes based on real life projects from our practice. Then you’ll have a chance to work on it, either independently or in a group. We’ll review some results from each challenge as a group at the following meeting and learn together from the outputs.

If you can’t make the live sessions…

No problem. There will be a version of each challenge that is meant to be completed at your own pace. (There will also be options for group collaboration for those who can make the live sessions, in addition to this.)

Modules:

FREAK STRATEGY

CULTURE AND IMAGE RESEARCH

LANGUAGE AND NAMING
